Research Methodology

Researchers take turns conducting experiments by selecting test cases from their laboratory. Each experiment yields either a positive result (follows the hidden rule) or a negative result (violates it). All results—both positive and negative—are recorded in the public journal for all researchers to study. When confident, a researcher may propose a hypothesis by predicting which test cases will yield positive results. Successfully verifying your hypothesis confirms your understanding of the natural law.
